“Probably the best seminar I have ever attended in 50 years of my career.”Joana M., harpist & teacher · 2025 Healthy String Playing Summit
Dear Fellow Musician,
Peter Jacobson here, founder of Mind Body Music School.
I’m excited to invite you to join me for this 5-day online immersion the first week of August.
In this immersion you’ll learn essential mind-body skills and practices to help you experience more joy, comfort and freedom in your music making.
The main event is a two-part introduction to Integrative Alexander Technique for Musicians. In addition, there are six special topic classes on practicing, performing, breathing, pain recovery, musicianship and regulating your nervous system.
These classes are open to all musicians, instrumentalists and vocalists alike. Teachers and directors who want to learn and share this work are warmly welcome too.
These 5 days will give you a taste of the kind of work we do in MBMS. And also serve as a preview of the next cohort of the Prelude Certification Program starting in September. (Your immersion tuition can be applied as a credit towards that program.)
Let me tell you more about each class.
Five days, eight classes, a feast of learning
Attend live. Watch on replay. Or do a combination of both.
“Alexander Technique seems like a missing piece for learning how to get out of our own way, and help the nervous system work for us, instead of against us.”
A few things to know…
- You can attend classes in real time, watch them on replays afterward, or do a combination of both.
- All classes are recorded and available to stream through December 31st, 2026.
- Your tuition includes access to a private community forum and a class schedule where you can RSVP and get email reminders.
Peter Jacobson
All eight classes will be taught by MBMS founder and director Peter Jacobson. Peter is a conservatory-trained conductor, an award-winning music educator and has been a student of the Alexander Technique for 25 years (and teaching it for 12). He founded Mind Body Music School in 2014, and it is one of the only music schools in the world specializing in Integrative Alexander Technique. You can read more about Peter here.
“There were immediate, instantaneous takeaways. I have already recommended this workshop to several of my musician friends.”
“The sessions were engaging, fun and informative, and the presenters all seemed totally invested and absolutely accessible. A wonderful experience!”
